Background

Libby was launched in June 2017 by OverDrive to support local libraries in different countries. It is a free app that lets users borrow digital content such as e-books, audiobooks, and magazines from their local library. The mission is to engage communities with digital experiences that educate, entertain, and provide unique services

Challenge

Libby users faces usability challenges like inconsistent accessibility features, ineffective search, limited filtering options and other advanced features, making it harder to find and access books.

Purpose

This project aims to improve the Libby app by making it more accessible, enhancing search and discovery, simplifying content management, and helping users make better borrowing choices. The goal is to create a smoother, more engaging experience for library patrons and expand community access to digital reading.
